Shade did not leave the Doctor's place until two in the morning on Wednesday. After returning home, he slept only a few hours before getting up with a yawn for breakfast. Seeing the manuscript paper pages glow, he confirmed that Miss Danist had time at the moment. He then arranged the ritual and waited for a message, projecting himself to Saint Byrens at seven thirty.
"Good morning, Shade. What did you need me for?"
It was still the familiar Academy Library. Though it was early, Miss Danist looked energetic. Now that the new term had begun, even Saint Byrens' formal students, who had a long "winter break," had finished it at the start of Star Sparse Moon.
