At around one thirty in the afternoon, Shade bid farewell to the ladies at the Opera House. He boarded a carriage at the intersection and met up with Her Royal Highness the Princess. Together, they headed for the Stone Masons Association, half a city away from the Wilde Opera House.

Today, Her Royal Highness the Princess had changed out of her elaborate gown and removed her luxurious jewelry. Over her long dress, she wore a ladies' coat whose hem fell to her knees. A brooch bearing the holy emblem of the true god, the Benevolent Father of Peace, hung at her chest, while silver studs adorned her ears. Her pale golden hair was simply tied up, decorated only with a plain ribbon apart from a cat-shaped yellow gemstone hairpin.

Plain, but not overly plain. She looked like a noble young lady traveling alone.

After Shade entered the carriage, Margaret turned her face aside as though embarrassed, refusing to let him look at her. She pulled her personal maid—the one-ring Sorceress who possessed a faint trace of witches' power—over to block him.

The equally gorgeous but plainly dressed maid smiled at Shade.

"Your Highness—oh, I mean, Miss. Miss did not put on much makeup today, so she does not want you to see her."

"Not much makeup? I thought this was already with makeup on."

Shade said. Margaret smiled, and only then did she look at him.

"You always know how to talk."
