The two embraced tightly in the fog, trying to vent some indescribable emotion born of "desire" through this method. In the end, Shade was the first to regain his senses and tried to push Megan away, but the body Megan had been controlling instantly shifted back to Audrey's control, and she continued the kiss even more passionately.
Clearly, both Megan and Audrey had been affected.
In the end, Shade still managed to separate from Audrey. By then, both of them had fully sobered up, though Shade still felt a flame leaping in his heart. He could only hope that Luvia's astrology session would not last too late tonight.
The witch did not know what Shade was thinking. She wiped her lips, feeling as though her heart was about to burst from her chest:
"You're very practiced."
As she spoke, she gently bit her lip again and brushed a hand before her face. The illusion concealing her appearance vanished, revealing her true form. In truth, she had not changed much. Her face had merely become more refined, her beauty likewise surpassing normal standards. Yet because her complexion was pale, she possessed a peculiar charm that other witches lacked.
Golden eyes looked at Shade:
"Am I beautiful?"
"Very beautiful."
Shade praised her. After thinking for a moment, he also revealed his true face. But neither Megan nor Audrey recognized him. Although Shade's photographs had appeared in newspapers, most had been side profiles or shots from behind. Coupled with the distortion of black-and-white photographs, she did not immediately connect him to the detective from Tobesk.
"Feeling better? If you are, then we should leave."
Shade suggested. The witch nodded lightly, her little finger curling unconsciously before she felt the vibration of that golden thread:
"Much better. Let's go. We still have a lot
