Luvia's dream
(This story takes place between Chapter 1991 and the end of the Sixth Epoch, while Luvia was traveling by train from Green Lake City back to Tobesk.)
"Oh~"
As the train swayed gently onward, the Girl with Purple Eyes at the table stretched lazily, then closed the diary in front of her.
The small compartment was illuminated by the gas lamp on the wall. Behind the little table was the bed, with a suitcase beside it. On the other side of the table, curtains covered the train's side window.
But after finishing her diary, Luvia quickly pulled back the curtains. She looked at her reflection in the glass, then at the wilderness scenery flashing past outside.
"It's already evening. We should be arriving in Tobesk soon."
The compartment was compactly arranged, but it was enough for a train journey. The hat hanging on the wall swayed with the train's motion, while the wooden grain of the floor looked especially textured beneath the dim yellow light.
Her fountain pen rested atop the thick diary with its brown leather cover. Luvia had never told Shade that she kept a diary, but diary-writing was something all educated young ladies of this era did. Only someone as strange as Shade would think decent people did not keep diaries.
"If Shade knew I kept a diary, he'd definitely want to read it. But I'm not letting him."
Thinking of Shade, she propped up her head, a smile unconsciously appearing on her lips. Her enchanting purple eyes looked beyond the glass, but they also saw the reflection of the train compartment in the window.
