"Control the Witch Council?"
A strange expression immediately appeared on Shade's face. Seeing Miss Feilianna's serious expression, he had thought his teacher would give him a task like "collect the Myriad Aspects of Impermanence Cards." After all, this was the first Old God Shade had encountered in the Fifth Epoch, and the "Innocent Creator" had given him a way to possibly attain redemption even if he reached the worst possible ending.
Even if it had nothing to do with the Myriad Aspects of Impermanence Cards, he never could have imagined hearing such a request from Miss Feilianna:
"You mean..."
Seeing that he wanted to speak but felt too embarrassed to do so, Miss Feilianna nodded:
"Exactly what you think. Bind them to your side through definite relationships. The Witches of the Witch Council will not be affected by hypnosis or control-type powers, so you must sincerely help them. Even if you have to put in some thought and use some means, you must accomplish this. The girls of the future do not seem particularly hostile toward you, but when I went to your era to see you, they did not seem to be taking very good care of you either."
Miss Olanord patted Fiona, who was lost in wild thoughts beside her, on the shoulder. As the Dragon Young Lady with the large tail blushed and lowered her head to look at the ground, the half-elf Witch also explained to Shade:
"You can probably tell that the Witch Council holds an extremely special position. Why was it that in the Fifth Epoch, only the believers of the Ancient God—the Chaos Witch—could use supernatural abilities? Why were only the believers of this special Ancient God able to retain a relatively complete system of inheritance from the First Epoch to the present?"
