The two returned to the campfire. The Thirteenth Order Great Witch seemed briefly lost in thought:

"Regret, cowardice, and the Soul's Warmth? Ha, that really does suit me."

Mr. Nelson spoke from across the flames, then took the initiative to offer his help:

The Witch shook her head, but Shade was not disappointed:

"You're lucky. I have a friend who knows a great deal about sins and such. I can ask him for advice. If that doesn't work, I'll find a Mermaid I know and ask her to help me. She would definitely be willing, but I don't want to do that. Do you know how to separate the Soul's Warmth?"

Shade asked again, and this time Ms. Brooke nodded:

"I do. As a Fire-Holding Sister, elder sister mastered many unique secret arts. Using the warmth of one's own soul to cast flame spells was one of them.
