At the very first exchange, their strongest Ring Arcanist had suffered a crushing defeat. The bear, eagle, snake, and tiger all froze. Thinking of the power boost from the Transformation Spell—Owlbear, they now suspected that the man with an owl on his shoulder had been transformed from a Dragon using a Transformation Spell.
"Do you still want to fight?"
Shade asked after ceasing his spellcasting. The white mist of his breath lingered in the air for a long while.
The animals hesitated. Seeing that they did not answer, the owl, who was having trouble controlling herself after sensing the warmth of that soul, suddenly flew from Shade's shoulder.
Grayish-white fog spread after she landed. Then, from behind the thick mist, the Witches' new transformed form stepped onto the snowy ground.
Her fur was white as snow, glimmering beneath the cold winter sunlight and blending into the surrounding snow scenery. Her slender limbs stepped lightly across the snowy ground, each step leaving a shallow print, as though sketching a dreamlike painting upon a white canvas.
A horn gleaming with glimmer stood atop her head, a symbol of purity and power. The horn gave off a faint Silver Light, while her mane drifted gently in the wind, soft as silk and reflecting the snowflakes, like an elf from a fairyland.
"A Unicorn?"
Not only the five animals, but even Shade was greatly surprised. Transforming into a Unicorn was no easier than transforming into a Dragon. Moreover, he was standing right behind the Unicorn, yet he could not sense any falsehood from her at all.
"She truly is a master of Transformation Spell!"
