As the Divine Ritual activated once more, a golden net descended from the sky and enveloped the mangled giant. Its injuries appeared to have healed, but ash still drifted from its body, and it had shrunk to a third of the size it had been at the Edge of Life and Death.
The net formed by the Sun Church's Divine Ritual produced immediate results. Sunlight scorched its flesh, and the wailing giant seemed to catch fire beneath that net. But then vast Soul Power forcibly burst the net apart.
Scorching golden motes flew into the woods, only to be dispersed by the ritual before they could start a fire. The giant reached down and pressed a hand against the ground, sending the people surrounding it fleeing into the distance.
