"Yesterday, Flora stayed at the hotel completing the score you found. The Church, led by Mr. Gerald Delong, the Thirteenth Ring Construct Master, has already completed its blockade of the outskirts of Love Lake."
Miss Danist said, setting down the book in her hand:
"And Linda Bennett has awakened."
Other than Shade and Flora, eleven people in total had been rescued from the lake on Tuesday night. So far, only three of them, including Linda Bennett, had regained consciousness.
Miss Danist obtained their photographs and information through the Academy, and Shade understood as soon as he saw the pictures:
"Aren't those three awake people the same three people we saw floating on the lake in the dream?"
"Yes. Danist and I both believe this means they were the three least deeply immersed in the dream at the time. As for the remaining eight, both the Church and the Academy believe they will likely never wake up."
The man and woman besides Linda Bennett were not companions. The twenty-five-year-old George Kant was the son of Mr. Kant, the chief of the local police station. His family and the Bennett Family were even distantly related.
According to young Mr. Kant himself, after accidentally purchasing a pink necklace, he dreamed of that great lake and then felt a strange urge to find it.
When he entered the woodland last Sunday, young Mr. Kant suddenly felt that he knew the lake's location, and then somehow sank into it.
As for the woman, she was a student at the Creekwood Town Conservatory of Music, one grade above Miss Bennett.
She claimed that she had found a strange book in the school warehouse. Afterward, she did many things with only vague memories of them, until she somehow entered the lake.
