Iluna, who had been closely pursuing the monster, had already thrown a golden Sunlight Gun at its flank. Unfortunately, the "Sunlight Gun" was clearly not very effective against the massive creature whose body had turned into black liquid.
So by the time Shade flew over to join the battle, Iluna had already leaped into the air. With her raised right palm facing the Yellow Sun in the dim sky, it was as though a real sun had appeared in her hand:
"Earth Power - Earth Energy Cannon!"
A blazing golden sphere descended from the sky. Yet the monster crouching in the canyon raised its head toward Iluna and, amid a piercing scream, spewed out turbid yellow liquid once more.
The stream collided with the "sun" in midair. After steam erupted like an explosive cloud of smoke, the falling "sun" was actually extinguished.
It was not especially powerful, nor was it a monster that had lived in the Doomsday Era. But it had been tainted by the power of the Doomsday Era. That power did not belong to it, so it would gradually dissipate as it repeatedly spewed yellow water. But at least before that trace of Doomsday Era power vanished, no one could suppress those bizarre streams of turbid yellow liquid head-on.
Several streaks of light flew over from the camp at the canyon entrance. Gerald Delong, the Construct Master of the Creation Church; Mr. Clark Carville, the Hand of Annihilation of the Peace Church; and Vanessa, the Earth Witch, arrived together.
They were too close to the rift. Even these Thirteenth Rings could not remain here for long, but Shade, having seen through the monster's nature, also knew that this battle would not need to last long.
