"The long Polar Night may bring problems. Although the Nun left Phoenix behind, that bird was only reborn a year ago. If something really happened, she wouldn't be able to handle it."
Grace said this while bidding Shade farewell. Shade had originally wanted to find a time to invite the Red Butterfly Sisters to soak in the hot springs together, but he did not need to regret it. For sisters who had crossed the boundary between life and death, distance had never been a problem.
At ten in the morning, Shade and Vanessa appeared in the forest on the outskirts of Throne Land. Crystals did not exist solely around the thrones. In the woodland near that enormous clearing, one could also see small amounts of crystal clinging beneath the snow surface, or patches of tree trunks and branches whose material had changed.
By the time they truly neared Throne Land, crystal pillars protruding from the ground could already be seen in the woods. These pillars were also widespread across the clearing known as Throne Land. They possessed no research value whatsoever; they were simply Eternal Crystal created by the thaumaturgy Crystal Touch, which Ring Arcanists could learn.
After crossing the thickets and entering Throne Land, they could clearly sense that, with the edge of the clearing as the boundary, the elemental fluctuations and Tide of Spirits inside and outside were utterly like those of two different worlds. The light reflected by the crystals made this place seem brighter than the forest, and to Thirteenth Order Vanessa, it almost seemed to be peeling away from the Material World itself and becoming a space with a special existence.
