After finding the ring, Shade hurried after the three people ahead of him. Seeing that he had caught up, the nun in front quickened her pace again. Since Witches were so averse to men, Shade did not offer to help Theresa support the unfamiliar young woman. He merely followed behind them, vigilantly watching their surroundings.
