The residents of Fatumonst Island experienced the transition from day to twilight to day again within half a minute. But considering that last summer, daytime had turned directly into night on a global scale, this did not cause too much panic.
The Spatial Anomaly finally subsided. The only effect the phenomenon had on this Cedar Forest was that, when the spatial rift opened, it swallowed some of the snow on the ground.
The witch, the apprentice, and the Cultist bishop all looked toward that cat—dog. The cat impatiently turned to look at the ice cave again, worried about whether the troublesome Shade Cat could climb back up on its own.
The witch then shifted her gaze to Kalle Fortuna. The Cultist pursed his lips, closed his eyes, and solemnly clasped the holy emblem on his chest as he prayed:
"Fate is impermanent. It seems that excessively suppressing fate caused the threads to rebound and destiny to fluctuate."

The witch repeated something Shade had said during their conversation last night, feeling that perhaps her luck was not as bad as she had imagined. The man then reached out, allowing the die to fly back into his hand, before tossing it lightly into the air again:
"No, this is not Mockery of Fate. The outcome fate chose this time is—"

Amid the thunderous blast, a dark figure shot out of the pool and smashed toward the Cultist who had thrown the die with a speed infinitely close to teleportation.
Although the Twelve-Ring Arcanist promptly dodged to the side, the thrown die was still carried away by Shade when he collided with it after flying out of the pool.
