She was counting Little Liana as well, though she was obviously joking.
Shade explained:
"This isn't my Unicorn. I found it. It was injured, and I wanted to find it somewhere safe to recover. I suspect that the white light Miss Reinhart and I saw this afternoon, as well as the white light the Old Forester saw more than twenty years ago, might both have been it."
"Honestly, you had barely finished riding me before finding another mount. You really are—"
