Sage Level Relics that could only be used by assimilating them into one's own body were inherently more prone to mishaps than other types of Relics. Therefore, while the ancient giant hand could still maintain its form, the Nine-Ring Believer of Misfortune hurriedly signaled for his two injured companions to leave.
But Shade had no intention of waiting for them to escape. Though the giant arm formed from the Relic blocked the center of the canyon and was difficult to destroy, he took a step forward while pulling Sivie by the hand and appeared directly behind that enormous palm.
The light Sivie had been charging before the Space Movement immediately pierced through the heads of the injured Fifth-Ring and Seventh Ring Arcanists. Though the Nine-Ring Arcanist barely managed to manipulate the transforming glove again and block the Twelfth Order Great Witch's attack, the glove was now completely unusable.
The Relic was even on the verge of losing control. More than half of his body had fused with that glove.
Though Shade was troubled by the major problem of dealing with a rampaging Sage Level Relic afterward, he still charged forward with the Moonbeam Greatsword in hand, then raised his sword and brought it down—

The greatsword did not sever the man's head. Instead, it struck a thread before the Cultist that could not be seen with either the naked eye or spiritual perception. Amid the buzzing sound, the thread did not snap. Instead, the Moonbeam Greatsword shattered from the recoil.
The strange echo produced by that "thread" immediately gave even Shade a deeply unsettling thought. The Cultist, who was barely keeping the glove under control, revealed a relaxed smile, and Shade realized what it might be.
