Someone directly interfered with his luck, which is why he himself has no Elemental Reaction."
Young Mr. Kruger's home was no longer habitable. Though he had relatives and friends on the island, according to Stella and the others' investigation, he had not gone to stay with anyone that night. Instead, he was staying upstairs in a dilapidated tavern very close to his home.
Taverns tucked away in the depths of alleys like this could be found in any city. The first floor usually sold food and drink, while the second and third floors offered rooms.
