Fine snowflakes drifted beneath the starry sky as Stella rose into the air. She closed her eyes and spread her arms beneath the stars, and ice blue trails of light flew from her chest, forming the enormous holy emblem of the Winter Maiden beneath her feet.
Miss Aisha Eisberg looked up at that moment.
"Perhaps this is why she was able to touch the holy relic back then."
Matilda, who had likewise not joined the battle, looked at the stone slab she was temporarily keeping—the one taken from the tomb—and discovered with considerable surprise that it was actually resonating with the light of the Old God's holy emblem that had appeared.
Then, with a whoosh, the stone slab broke free of her control and flew toward Stella in the air. The slab, emitting an ice blue glow, hovered before Stella's chest, strengthening the residual power of the Old God relic she was using.
The surging power made Stella's white hair grow longer, while the Meteor falling from high in the starry sky silently descended above her head, carrying a force that seemed capable of destroying everything.
Shade felt as though he understood something from the trajectory of that falling star.
The next moment, the falling star collided with the ice blue light above Stella's head, and the phantom of the ice blue holy relic shield covering the battlefield completely unfolded.
Shade had never known exactly what Stella had touched back then, but the Winter Singer knew the truth. It was a shield once used by the cruel Winter God, a divine artifact forged from the Indifference and loneliness symbolized by "never melting."
Boom!
The instantaneous white light forced even Shade to close his eyes. The violent vibration of the ground even made him suspect that this world might be damaged
