Luvia had only seen Shade two or three times that week. Now that they had finally met, he was sitting so "far" away from her. Of course she was dissatisfied.
Luvia grabbed Shade's hand:
"Since that snake can currently only move around inside the Temple, it's safe to explore the ruins in advance. I don't know why you seem so anxious—don't deny it, I know you too well. But there is indeed a way to get in.
"But a single coin is too little to learn anything about the Ancient God Temple. This isn't like Golden Music Hall, a Temple that has already lost most of its power. The remnants of the Ancient God's power are still flowing there."
"So what do we know right now?"
"The ruins are at the mountaintop. Under normal circumstances, although the candidates have a way to enter the Temple early, they can only reach those ruins once the story has progressed to the Seventh Act. The ruins are currently sealed, and entering them requires spending an Arc of Fate. The Infinite Snake's doesn't count.
"As the final act of this grand drama, going there in advance seems to offer certain benefits. By the way, spending one only allows one person to make a single round trip."
"So we still don't actually know where the entrance is?"
"No."
Shade handed Luvia the second coin, their last remaining one. The coin flew into the air and, under Shade's unblinking gaze, scattered into violet points of light.
"What was the result?"
"Not bad. Lord of the Ring anticipated that someone might want to reach the ruins early, and I actually saw the complete rules. Only those who have completed three acts of the story, possess Serpent's Shedding, and have a maximum point total above 150 can go
