After the War of the Lustful, The Arc of [Fertility] had turned into a ring. But the Witches had gained other things during that great battle, so Shade still had six Bent Arcs in hand: Corruption, Luck, Fool, Ice and Snow, Poverty, and Beast.
He took out the golden Luck, first summoned Moonlight, then shaped it into a new Bent Arc. Though all the Bent Arcs currently came in different colors, they were each roughly one-third of a complete ring. Thus, it was easy for Shade to control the size of the "Moonlight Curved Arc" he created.
But after matching Moonlight with Luck, nothing happened:
"I tried it while eating breakfast this morning. It didn't work. Even if we found Iluna and had her bend the Sunlight Gun into an arc to match with the Bent Arc, I don't think it would work either."
Luvia was not disappointed:
"It would be strange if it did work. Destiny isn't so easily completed. The Witches' coins won't arrive for another couple of days, so why not discuss it with the Seer Association? They might have a solution.
"The idea from your dream is very valuable. If we still can't find a way to make it work before the coins arrive, I'll use them for divination afterward. Fate's Great Overture is scheduled for tomorrow. Once it is complete, the Sixth Act will be over. There's still a week before the deadline the snake gave us. There's time."
Shade nodded, then took two more "Star Dew" from his pocket.
"Here. I made a few more with my blood last night."
After bidding Adele farewell last night, he had not immediately left
