The ball went smoothly. After dancing the First Dance with Emilia, the second with Sivie, and the third with Stella, the young ladies tacitly began taking the initiative to invite Shade to dance in the order they had come to know him.
As the hostess of the banquet, Emilia left the dance floor after three dances. The Elf Queen's second dance had been with Ellie, and watching the Chosen of Fate dance with her had been quite a pleasing sight.
