Amid Old Madam Gustav's unconscious scream, Shade sent pure silver flames into her eye socket. The end of that tentacle was clearly still inside; if it was not dealt with, the consequences would be severe.
Fortunately, Shade had acted quickly. The Flesh Aberration had not yet harmed the old witch's brain.
After sending the old witch back into the tiny Sanctuary, Shade used soil to reshape her eyeball and optic nerves. The latter was very delicate, but fortunately, the Outlander's [Active Mud] only required him to mold the exterior. When he had made arms and legs for the Witch Followers before, he had never paid attention to blood vessels or nerves either.
After Shade's treatment, Old Madam Gustav was all right, though she would probably need to rest for some time before recovering.
"What did she see just now?"
This was what Shade and the two witches were most curious about. To ensure safety, the old witch had always blocked everyone else's view and gone to inspect things first. Shade knew she did this out of caution, but he had not expected something like this to really happen.
"This Factory is more dangerous than we thought. Actually, when we crossed the Blood River just now, I felt something staring at me from below while I was climbing the chains. But I wasn't sure whether it was just an illusion."
Miss Bladewei, still somewhat frightened, spoke as she knelt beside the old witch. The Pink Dragon Young Lady did not look well either:
"Madam Gustav is the highest-level among us. If we had been the ones looking outside the door, things would probably have been even worse."
