After the Ring of Withering Fire became tainted by the Life Fire Seed, it almost immediately stained that endlessly surging Life Force a dim yellow.
When that color merged with the originally glass-like, brilliant Red Moonfire, the light radiating from Shade's right hand swiftly turned into a decayed dark red. The withering Life Force revealed the "Flesh Corruption" aspect of the Red Moon's moonlight:
"Wither Ray!"
The decayed dark-red light of the Red Moon instantly shattered the Weeper of Blood's defenses. After striking his body, the flames covering that fire-wreathed figure immediately dimmed, and cracks even appeared across his skin.
The decay of flesh suppressed the power released by that Fire Seed Source. After coughing up blood, the Weeper of Blood could no longer maintain his battle with the Construct Master. The brilliant golden flames erupting from that living armor swallowed him whole, triggering a bloody explosion in the night sky.
But Hermons did not die. After being caught off guard and defeated by Shade's sneak attack, the heavily wounded man reappeared with his right arm gone, and even the bones of his chest exposed.
The Fire Seed Source floated before his skeletal frame. The abundant Life Force released from it was trying to dispel the decayed dark-red scars wrapped around that ruined body—the curse of Red Moon Withering.
But even wounded to such a state and unable to recover quickly because of the curse, Shade could still sense that his Life Force was extraordinarily vigorous. He did not seem injured at all. This newly reborn body clearly possessed many traits that ordinary humans did not.
The Construct Master did not continue attacking. Instead, hindered by the power of Wither, it hesitantly looked in Shade and Wei Ge's direction. Hermons did the same.
