The two sat down on the sofa. Shade tucked his notebook into the inner pocket of his coat, while Mr. Lavende set down his cane and introduced himself again. The middle-aged man with the small mustache was not an ordinary citizen after all:

"I actually hold the title of baron, but as you know, nobility isn't worth much in a place like Tobesk City. This isn't the countryside, where some impoverished noble with barely any property can control an entire village or town. That may be a slight exaggeration, but if you shout 'Baron' on the street, more than one person will definitely turn around."

He shrugged at Shade, who understood what Baron Lavend meant. This was, after all, the capital of the Dellaireon Kingdom. Barons, especially barons without much property, were nothing unusual.

"Relatively speaking, I'm not particularly wealthy, but I've met some remarkable people through Rhodes Cards. This commission is related to Rhodes Cards.

"Here's the situation. On Sunday night, I was invited to a banquet at Lake View Manor, which belongs to Count Clown Outside the City.
