After seeing Earl Kazlier off, Lin Qi returned to his room and turned on the television.
He looked as though he was watching television, and in reality, he was. What else could he do if he didn't watch TV?

Perhaps, but not many. The plan had been set from the beginning. Earl Kazlier and the country behind him were merely one link in the chain.
With him and them, the plan would proceed more smoothly.
Without him and them, the plan wouldn't encounter any major problems either.
Because he had persuaded Mr. Truman, it was equivalent to persuading the president and the Federal Government.
A policy of the Federal Government, even a minor domestic policy, would have an impact on the International Community far greater than a Small Country's foreign policy.
There had been no important news on television these past few days. At one point, Lin Qi seemed to hear the television mention his book.
But the news soon moved on.
He called Anna's name, and she quickly appeared before him.
Anna wore a camel-colored wool sweater, the close-fitting kind, with a high collar that accentuated her fairly good figure.
Lin Qi could even tell that she wasn't wearing underwear.
"The television just mentioned my book. What happened to it?" Lin Qi gathered his thoughts. "Last time, I heard it had gotten into some trouble, didn't it?"
Anna nodded. She had looked into the matter. If she wanted to serve Lin Qi, she first had to understand at least the information she needed to know and could gather.
"It became a bestseller, and it's incredibly popular. Apparently, it has sold out several times."
"It was only released about... a month ago, and it's already in its fourth reprint."
Lin Qi found the news somewhat unbelievable
