Charlie's emotions had settled down somewhat. She did not answer immediately, but looked at the man before her.
The Blackstone Security salesman smiled. He did not mind. He knew she looked down on the first proposal, but that was fine. He still had two more.
"Under the second proposal, we provide you with the necessary security. You'll only have limited freedom."
"The good news, however, is that we can help explain your identity issues to the Federal Government, and the contract will also be open-ended. As for the cost..."
The salesman lowered his head and glanced at the contract in his hands, once again marveling at how quickly the company executives had sharpened their knives.
"You'll need to pay the company a one-time public-relations fee of twenty million, after which we'll provide a six-person security team. The daily fee will be twenty thousand."
"The advantage of this contract is that you can live in the Federation permanently, in a very safe environment..."
Damn, that's expensive, the salesman lamented inwardly once again.
The normal business fee was five hundred to a thousand per person. Even if they hired the best security team currently available, a six-person team would cost no more than seven thousand two hundred, excluding equipment fees.
But everything had been doubled here, and... He quickly glanced at Charlie's expression. The woman did not seem to think it was expensive at all.
Charlie lit a cigarette. "What about the third option?"
The salesman cleared his throat. "The third option takes into consideration the targeted attacks you're currently facing. Even we can't guarantee that you'll remain safe forever."
"On the basis of the second proposal, we'll provide certain military operation services. We can take the initiative to eliminate some of the people or groups causing trouble."
