The Severe Laws of Nagaril's sewers...
It was not a pleasant place.
The palace sewers were not as spacious as people imagined, because this was Nagaril.
As long as they did not flood when it rained, the people here considered everything else acceptable.
Wastewater?
That was called wastewater? The palace sewers were therefore extremely narrow, with an inner diameter of barely two feet.
A normal person could easily crawl through the pipes—but only if they were new.
Old pipes contained all kinds of accumulated matter. Since these things had soaked for so long without rotting, they were unlikely to decompose naturally. In the end, they gathered together and became entangled.
Some could be removed, while others had calcified continuously until they had fused with the pipe walls.
Even if the pipe itself was smashed, they might not break apart.
As a result, the actual space in the sewers was far narrower than people imagined. Certain bends were especially impassable.
When the palace kitchen provided dinner for everyone in the palace that day, they discovered that the sewers were blocked.
At the other end of the main passage, they found Her Highness the Grand Princess drowned in the water.
She was headfirst, wedged inside the sewer. It appeared that she had died in great agony.
Incidentally, during the process of drowning, she had miscarried. It was a perfectly natural occurrence.
After listening to the Steward and several others describe the entire incident, the substitute King suddenly rose to his feet.
He viciously smashed everything around him onto the floor and kicked over everything he could kick over!
He suddenly realized that the Grand Princess's death had been caused by her pregnancy.
He did not know what state he was in at that moment. All he wanted was to destroy and annihilate!
