That evening, Lin Qi learned that Gepu had been released. He then went to where Vera was staying. Vera had called him first because of the child.
"He still refuses to come out. He hasn't even eaten dinner..."
Vera was worried. The little boy had locked himself in his room and had stayed there until now without drinking water, eating, or responding.
If the security guards Lin Qi had sent to protect them hadn't seen the little boy through the window from outside, Vera would have called the police long ago.
Although there was nothing physically wrong with the child, keeping himself locked in like this wasn't a solution. In the end, she could only ask Lin Qi for help.
