Just so he could withstand today's trial, the doctors had removed approximately seven pounds of steel wire, nails, fishhooks, and similar objects from his legs and body.

According to the doctors, if the executioners had been even slightly less skilled—just a tiny bit less—the Duke would already have died! In the end, unable to obtain the slightest bit of valuable intelligence, the military decided to let him leave the Interrogation Room alive and face a trial for justice.

His legs trembled. Even after he had been given medication, blood continued to seep slowly from his wounds.

But the people did not know this. The media reporters' cameras were practically touching the tip of his nose. Excitedly, they explained his pale complexion and slightly trembling body with the words, "He's afraid." The shameful and despicable war criminal had finally revealed his cowardly, ugly side before justice! Some people were so excited they were practically climaxing!
