Fireworks rose one after another into the night sky, their magnificent colors illuminating the entire Imperial Capital! Perhaps they were meant to complement the ball being held in the palace that evening, perhaps to thank those who were about to donate huge sums of money, or perhaps simply to uphold tradition. Whatever the reason, there were grand fireworks that night.

Fireworks and artillery were not fundamentally all that different!

The fireworks were sent high into the sky by propellant, then a delayed fuse ignited them, making beautiful flowers bloom overhead!

Amid the explosions, the fireworks rising one after another formed a stark contrast with the dark Imperial Capital.

Outside the city, the Royal Knights had already begun entering. Riding their horses, they moved quickly and nimbly through the various main roads and side streets, just as they had many years ago.

They moved between light and darkness, the curved sabers in their hands flashing with cold gleams in the night.

Sparks flared and vanished in an instant, and another life passed into oblivion.
