"From the moment we triggered the alarm to the moment they told me everything was safe, it probably only took..."
The Jewelry Store saleswoman looked extremely agitated on camera, her body language rather animated. "About five minutes, I think?"
"I'm not entirely sure, because everything happened so quickly. I was still wondering whether I'd have any chance of getting home today when they told me it was all over!"
The field reporter beside her asked, "Some people think shooting these criminals on sight was overly cruel. What are your thoughts on that?"
"Cruel?" The saleswoman's voice rose sharply. "Anyone stupid enough to say something like that deserves to have their head ripped off and kicked around like a ball!"
"Calling it cruel when it's a bunch of robbers? Why don't those people think about people like us? We're innocent people who could die at any moment!"
"Somehow, people think it's cruel for robbers to be injured or killed. This world is fucking strange. You really ought to throw all you idiots who say such brainless things into prison and make you spend some time with those bastards..."
The barrage of bleeps clearly reflected the saleswoman's anger and agitation. Still, most people—an overwhelming majority—shared her opinion.
Robbers and criminals didn't need anyone's sympathy. They should all be killed!
Afterward, they interviewed some innocent customers from the Jewelry Store, along with several passersby. Everyone praised the "results" displayed by this mobile squad!
No one liked living in a dangerous environment. Whenever people encountered danger, they all yearned for someone to save them before their lives came to an end.
Rely on the police?
Well, that might not be such a funny joke. The fact that police always arrived last in movies wasn't entirely an artistic convention. Some of it reflected reality.
