"Will I die?"
Bowling President's voice was very faint. Fortunately, the mouth and tongue he used were his original equipment, otherwise he wouldn't even be able to speak now.
Yet even so, the voice he could manage was very weak.
The doctor didn't answer immediately. His eyes flickered slightly, clearly considering a pretense.
"Don't hide it from me. I have the right to know my condition!"
He then looked at the blue IV bag, which had only a little left; the medicine inside was running low, with just a tiny bit remaining.
He remembered that this hadn't been here earlier, and he had just taken a nap, so perhaps it was because of this.
"Is this the Special Medicine?"
The doctor nodded. "The new medicine the Director just sent over, specifically for your situation."
"As for your question, I actually don't know for very certain either. I can only say that everyone is trying to find a way to get you through the hardest period."
"Once the Gaud Particle erupts again, all the problems you face will be resolved."
Bowling President felt very tired just from speaking a few words, and talking was also painful; it required using a part of the muscles that didn't belong to him.
Every single use brought a tearing, excruciating pain.
What was quite miraculous was that his endurance toward this excruciating pain had improved a lot.
"Can it be maintained continuously?"
"I'm very sorry, I don't know."
"I want to see him."
The doctor quickly informed Chief Scientist that Bowling President had woken up, as well as his request to see him.
After waiting for a few hours, Chief Scientist finished his work in the laboratory, changed into a new set of clothes, and came over here.
"You want to see me?"
