Frugality was a virtue, the tide of the times, and the wind of the future! On the television screen, a fashionably dressed housewife went on at length about how she saved every penny in her pocket. Every one of her claims drew gasps from the studio audience.

The host also seemed extremely interested in her "insights," and even the ratings proved it. "I never use toilet paper when I go to the bathroom because the price has gone up again recently. I know what you're thinking. You think I use my hand directly?"

She did not give them an answer right away, leaving a pause instead. Clearly, her choice of words and manner of speaking had been carefully designed.

She displayed the scrap in her hand. "It's actually softer than toilet paper, and it's easier to wipe our bottoms clean. Best of all, it can be reused!"

"All you have to do is rinse it with water, and it'll be as good as new. I know many people will say, 'Oh my God, there are still so many bacteria on it...'"

"But I put them in a sealed container, pour boiling water inside, and then cover it!"

"I looked up the relevant information. E. coli and the like can't survive for that long.
