The Director motioned for him to hand over the documents he was holding. After looking through them for a while, he nodded in satisfaction. "The testimony is very important. This case will be broadcast or rebroadcast to everyone through a court trial."

"The lower classes don't know much about the legal value or validity of physical evidence. They haven't even attended university, so it's even less likely that they'll have any opinions about this evidence."

"But witnesses and their testimony can provide them with emotional strength in a straightforward way and guide them toward the truth."

"As for your saying that there isn't much physical evidence, I can already have people fabricate some."

The man was the Director's trusted subordinate, so he did not have to hide much when he spoke.

If this had been in the past, before the Ice Age, he might have put it more tactfully.

After all, after serving two more terms, he would have been the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for nearly thirty years. Even though this position was not the highest in the entire government hierarchy, he had gained a certain status simply because he had held it for so long.
