Most of the people living in the middle class, however, had a foot in both camps.

To the great capitalists, the middle class was an advanced toolbox filled with large numbers of cheap, useful tools. That was why they were unlikely to promote ignorant people from the lower class into the upper or middle ranks of a company.

Everyone told people that labor was the most glorious thing, but in any company, the people who truly profited from its operations were never the manual laborers.

They were the managers.

Managers were not born that way. They needed to grow and gain experience. That was also one of the reasons why the middle class found it easier to get jobs in society.

As long as their resumes were not too terrible and they lowered their employment standards a little, finding a suitable job was not difficult at all.

Not only did it have a respectable job, but it also held a certain status among the monsters.

After all, this was a capitalist society. Money was the supreme power in this world, and even monsters had to obey that rule.
