The "slowly" ascending Signal Flare could be seen by people in faraway places when the air conditions were exceptionally good.
When it reached its highest point, its scarlet light was especially eye-catching even in broad daylight. Combined with the red smoke and dust drifting through the atmosphere, keeping the evolutionists from seeing it was no easy task.
Large numbers of evolutionists immediately converged on the place where the Signal Flare had risen, including the Superstar Seven Squad.
"I think it must be very happy right now, because we'll be able to go back soon."
Thunder muttered quietly from a little farther back. It had never thought of competing with Mr. Responsibility over who held the title of strongest in the squad, but it would never admit that it was necessarily inferior to Mr. Responsibility.
Considering that this was a team and everyone was "family," it maintained respect for Mr. Responsibility.
But that didn't mean it would obey all of Mr. Responsibility's demands. For example: "Shut up."
It liked to mutter quietly with the people around it. Perhaps its cells were more active than those of its kind, so it was always unable to keep still—
Some scientists had concluded through research that Thunder was a very special case. The bioelectricity in its body, along with the cells that generated and discharged electricity, was too powerful. As a result, time passed very slowly in its world.
At least, it passed more slowly than it did for other people or evolutionists. This meant that while only ten or twenty seconds might have passed for ordinary people, it felt to Thunder as if thirty or fifty seconds—or even a full minute—had gone by.
This didn't mean that time manifested inconsistently for it and other people or evolutionists. It was simply that its overly
