Blah blah, blah blah blah blah, gurgle gurgle.
"We're entering the target galaxy. There's no obvious repulsive force here. Perhaps no god has ever existed here, or perhaps the god here has yet to awaken."
The Deputy Station Director stood on the bridge, gazing through the transparent material at the galaxy ahead.
This wasn't their first time invading another civilization. Whenever they invaded a civilization and entered the galaxy it belonged to, they would sense a very special repulsive force.
This repulsive force came from the conflict between faith and the galaxy's consciousness.
Both of these things existed throughout galaxies and constantly interfered with outsiders.
They would become like white blood cells, preventing the entry of foreign "cells" and possibly even trying to kill those outsiders.
That was why, at the very front of the fleet, there was a super-asteroid flying at incredible speed.
The fleet had used, and relied on, the power of this super-asteroid to forcibly pierce into the Solar System. At such an extreme speed, even if repulsive force existed here, it couldn't stop them from entering.
Once they entered the Solar System, that repulsive force would have difficulty causing them any serious harm.
They had guessed that there should be faith here, or Planet Consciousness, or galaxy consciousness.
Clearly, they had guessed wrong.
The asteroid was still hurtling toward Earth at tremendous speed. It wouldn't strike Earth directly. If it did, the chain reaction would also bring disaster upon them.
The surging Cosmic Energy made many things even more terrifying. Perhaps an impact like this would directly trigger the destruction of the Solar System.
They had come to conquer this civilization and sacrifice large numbers of living creatures to their god, not to commit suicide.
Thus, the asteroid would ultimately leave them here before flying out
