A Word Upon Completion finally reached 10 million words. There isn't much to say. Thank you, everyone, for keeping me company for more than three years. You can check out the new book next.
I don't plan to make the new book this long. Actually, this book was supposed to end when it reached seven or eight million words, but as everyone knows, it was already nearing 3,000 chapters.
When I started the book, the first chapter was numbered 0001. Back then, a reader asked me, "Can this damn book of yours really reach 1,000 chapters? How can you talk so big?"
I was baffled.
Wasn't reaching 1,000 chapters as easy as lifting a hand? As it turned out, it really wasn't that easy. Especially when it came to reaching 3,000 chapters, I couldn't resist the temptation and pushed on.
And once I pushed on, I reached more than 9 million words.
With more than 9 million words already before me, this was my first time breaking 10 million. If I didn't do it now, I might never get the chance again.
I thought, Just grit my teeth and do it!
After all, it only happens once in a lifetime. If I had to throw shame to the wind, so be it. In the end, I accomplished something that perhaps 99 percent of authors could never accomplish.
Ten million words. Three thousand chapters. This proved that sometimes, if you want to complete a task, you absolutely have to stop caring about your dignity.
Of course, I also want to thank everyone for being so understanding. For the sake of my little personal wish, you all had to be dragged along for so long.
Thank you all again. I'm too choked up for words. Next up is the new book.
