We've reached ten million words. There's not much to say except thank you all for accompanying me for more than three years. You can check out the new book afterward.
I don't plan to make the new book this long. Actually, this book was supposed to end when it reached seven or eight million words, but as everyone knows, it was almost three thousand chapters by then.
When I started this book, the first chapter was numbered 0001. At the time, a reader asked me, "The hell, can this book really reach one thousand chapters? Aren't you being a little too ambitious?"
I was very puzzled.
Wasn't reaching one thousand chapters as easy as lifting a hand?
The truth was, it really wasn't that easy. Especially when it came to reaching three thousand chapters, I couldn't resist the temptation and pushed myself a little further.
And once I did, I pushed it past nine million words.
With more than nine million words already in sight, if I didn't break ten million for the first time, I might never get another chance.
I thought, Just bite the bullet, grit my teeth, and do it!
After all, you only get one life. If I had to throw away my pride, then so be it. In the end, I achieved something that perhaps ninety-nine percent of authors could never accomplish.
Ten million words and three thousand chapters. This proved that sometimes, if you wanted to finish a task, you absolutely couldn't care about saving face.
Of course, I also want to thank everyone for being so tolerant of me. For the sake of my small personal wish, you all had to be dragged along for so long.
