As one of the biggest backers behind the presidential campaign, the President had a very favorable impression of Lin Qi.

Unlike the people from the major conglomerates the President knew, Lin Qi had not demanded that the President promise how he would repay this Political Donation after winning the election before he even signed the check.

There had been no unreasonable demands, no deliberate attempts to pressure him, and Lin Qi had not even asked for anything. He had simply given the money without making any excessive requests—and had paid the entire amount upfront. This gave the President a very favorable impression of Lin Qi.

Leaving aside the excessive demands made by the other major backers, their funding was not provided all at once either. Much of it was given in stages—for example, at set intervals or whenever certain goals were reached, at which point they would provide another portion of the funds.

From a positive perspective, this allowed them to manage the funds effectively and prevent misuse.

But this approach itself was an affront to the President. It was as if they were saying, "I don't trust you." That was deeply hurtful.
