Over the past five years, this once-wilderness had changed dramatically, becoming a thriving small town.
Present-day Bator City covered several square kilometers and had a population of over five hundred. Shops, taverns, blacksmith shops, and tailor shops had appeared throughout the town, with the Tieflings each performing their own duties. Though these buildings were exceptionally crude, more like stockades built from wood and stone, they still reminded the Tieflings of their lives back at North Wind Fortress and gave them a measure of hope for the future.
At the plaza in the center of town stood a massive stone statue—the Red Dragon, master of this place.
What set it apart most from ordinary towns was that monsters and humanoids lived together here: Hobgoblin garrisons patrolled back and forth, wyverns rested in the plaza, and Ogres could even be seen ordering meals for ten at the tavern.
Though conflicts and frictions were inevitable, Bator City still maintained the most basic order under Mezhuolash's supervision.
