Above the earth, a storm abruptly rose. Using the roots of the Heavenly Ladder Tree as its foundation and the Subspace Network as its veins, the Glazed Imperial Dragon, having gathered strength for so long, swept up the gravitational field of nearly half a continent. Amid savage hurricanes and air currents that tore apart the heavens, it twisted the atmosphere of the entire New Continent and flew straight into space.

Looking down from space, one could see an azure star faintly visible beneath the cover of atmospheric clouds. Then it grew brighter and brighter, more and more dazzling. In the next instant, it burst through the sky, transforming into an upward-flying meteor that dragged a waterfall-like trail behind it as it charged straight toward Axel!

The Glazed Imperial Dragon's attack was overwhelming and immensely powerful. Borrowing the strength of the Heavenly Ladder Tree, the Subspace Network, and nearly half the New Continent, this strike rivaled a full-force attack from the Fifth Energy Level. If it struck a vital region, it could completely destroy all of Terra's ecosystems and trigger a mass extinction event.

In theory, Axel could never have been struck by such an attack. He was a Sun God Bird; when his thoughts moved, so did his body. But Mikael and Ian charged at him as though they did not care whether they lived or died.
