In the small courtyard.
The Divine Lord Guangming appeared, his face dark.
Before him, the White-Robed Youth sat at a stone table, drinking alone.
There was wine and food, and he looked utterly at ease.
Yet at the arrival of a Great Dao Divine Lord, one of the two founding ancestors of the Great Ming Heaven Realm, he showed not the slightest alarm. He did not even rise to greet him.
He simply remained seated, as though nothing had changed.
"You're Li Yun, the Million Phenomena Bearer?"
"That's right. I'm Li Yun!"
Li Yun smiled faintly, set a small wine cup on the table, and filled it.
"Divine Lord Guangming, one of the Great Ming Heaven Realm's two founding ancestors. I've heard of you for a long time. Since you're here, why not sit down and have a drink?"
"A drink?"
"You're at death's door, and you're still in the mood to drink?"
The Divine Lord Guangming was furious.
Li Yun clearly held him in no regard whatsoever.
"All things are born and die. The universe is no different, nor are people. If I truly am at death's door, then my time has come. What good would a long face do me?"
"And if my time hasn't come, wouldn't a long face only make me a laughingstock?"
"So let's drink!"
"Fine words and a flattering face!" the Divine Lord Guangming snorted.
"I never imagined you'd have the nerve to hide in my Great Ming Heaven Realm!"
"Did you really think you could hide in the dark under the lamp, where no one would find you?"
"Too bad you gave yourself away, and I caught you."
"Now you can wait for the Ancient Immortal Church to come and take you away..."
Li Yun laughed.
"You're wrong!"
The Divine Lord Guangming frowned.
