"Mengmeng, open up!"
"I brought you a handsome guy!"
The man who had brought Li Yun knocked on the door and called out in a teasing voice.
"Oh... got it. I'm coming."
A languid voice drifted from inside. Whatever she was doing, several minutes passed before the door opened, and the lantern above it lit up.
Only then did Li Yun see Mengmeng.
At first glance, she looked to be in her twenties; at second glance, perhaps in her thirties. Fair-skinned and beautiful, with curves in all the right places, she had a languid air that gave her a certain charm.
"What were you doing? Took you long enough."
The man who had brought Li Yun sounded a little annoyed.
Mengmeng rolled her eyes at him.
"Using the toilet. What, do you want to come in and check?"
"Forget it..."
"I don't have time for that. See to your guest. Don't say I never looked out for you—I brought you a handsome guy today!"
With that, the man left.
Mengmeng gave a dismissive snort, then turned her gaze on Li Yun.
Her eyes lit up at once.
Well, would you look at that!
No, really!
He really is handsome—and a rare find, too.
His clothes weren't much, and he didn't look rich. But that physique, those features, that air that set him apart from the crowd... His bright eyes even seemed to hold a trace of weathered experience. He was the sort of handsome man who would stand out even in a crowd.
In all her years in the business, she had never met anyone quite so appealing.
Heat surged through Mengmeng's heart.
This was her line of work: as long as a customer paid, it didn't matter who he was, and she wasn't in a position to be picky.
