Li Yun had neither heard of nor seen Spirit Stones on Blue Star, but he had lived through hundreds of billions of years in the Gate of Myriad Wonders' evolution. What hadn't he seen?
The little stone the Ginseng King had offered him was unmistakably a Spirit Stone.
It was small, and the Spirit Qi it held was not especially abundant, but it was far purer than the Spirit Qi drifting through the air.
"Where did you get this?"
Suppressing his delight, Li Yun asked the Ginseng King, "Underground?"
The Ginseng King nodded rapidly.
He then explained that a layer of earth seventy to eighty meters thick had formed beneath this inner space.
Spirit Stone crystals had appeared near the eighty-meter mark.
"Hiss..."
Without another word, Li Yun activated the Earth Burrowing Technique and plunged deep underground.
Outside, his current strength would never have let him burrow seventy or eighty meters down. He could not withstand the crushing pressure of the earth.
Nor could the Earth Burrowing Technique carry him that deep without True Qi to sustain it.
But inside the Gate of Myriad Wonders, none of that pressure existed. The entire Gate belonged to him. He was effectively the Overlord of this space—where couldn't he go?
What here could threaten him?
He soon reached the depths, with the Ginseng King following close behind.
But Li Yun had no attention to spare for him.
The sight underground had stunned him.
Scattered through the earth nearly eighty meters down were Spirit Stones. They looked randomly placed, yet faintly formed a band.
After a moment's thought, Li Yun guessed what was happening.
This was more than the formation of a few Spirit Stones. That band of tiny stones was the embryonic form of an underground
