After dealing with Bloodsea Demon Blade Zhang Zhen and the others, Li Yun said he would leave things to them—and he meant it.
He slipped back into the Water-Fire Wonderland and quietly resumed his cultivation.
He stepped up his True Qi training.
Before he knew it, he had raised his True Qi cultivation past four hundred eighty apertures.
He had seven hundred twenty yin-yang Innate Apertures in all. When his True Qi first reached the Initial Accomplishment Realm, it had been King Grade. At two hundred forty apertures, it had naturally risen to Emperor Grade.
So Li Yun had assumed that reaching four hundred eighty apertures might bring another transformation, perhaps even raising it straight to Emperor-Imperial Grade.
Unfortunately.
It did not.
At four hundred eighty apertures, his True Qi had merely grown more abundant. Its quality had improved, but nowhere near as dramatically as he had expected.
In fact.
After carefully sensing it, Li Yun felt that his True Qi had completed less than thirty percent of the transformation from Emperor Grade to Emperor-Imperial Grade.
At this rate, Li Yun estimated that even when he perfected all seven hundred twenty apertures, his True Qi might not reach Emperor-Imperial Grade.
As for attaining the legendary Saint-Grade True Qi, that was even further out of reach.
"Sigh... I was a little too optimistic before."
"Looks like the Innate Aperture Refining technique I created still isn't perfect enough. I'll have to find a way to improve it further."
Li Yun felt a little disappointed, but he did not lose heart.
After all, Emperor-Imperial Grade and Saint-Grade True Qi were never easy to cultivate. There was a reason Saint-Grade True Qi existed only in legend on the Purple Moon Continent.
He just had to improve the technique. That was what he did best.
