Before he had traveled even a hundred miles, he came upon two isolated Lower Sages from the Black Tiger Hunting Group at the mouth of a frozen canyon.
The two searched side by side, weapons in hand. Their Divine Consciousness wandered lazily as they talked in low voices and swept their gazes around without a care, utterly unaware that death had arrived.

Cold so dense it seemed almost solid erupted from nowhere. Like an invisible cage, it instantly engulfed the two members of the Black Tiger Hunting Group.
The bone-piercing cold invaded through their pores and raced along their meridians, freezing their blood and suppressing their Saint Power. The chill penetrated their Saint Power barriers at once. Their movements seized up, and even raising a hand became agonizingly difficult.
