He had yet to encounter the Blood God Cult directly, but from everything he had learned so far, he could already tell it was an exceedingly sinister force.
Whatever lay at its source was no small matter.
Now there was a Blood God Statue in the hands of Ye Xuan, a Blood God Cult follower. Li Yun had good reason to suspect that the statue had an extraordinary origin too.
If he could get his hands on it, he might be able to use the Gate of Myriad Wonders to unravel its secrets—even trace the Blood God Cult to its source.
He turned to Wu Mian, his voice steady. "Tell me exactly what the statue looked like."
"And what was Ye Xuan doing when you found him?"
Wu Mian drew a deep breath, suppressed the fear still lingering in his heart, and quickly recalled that harrowing scene.
"It was a strange statue, scarlet from top to bottom. It was neither metal nor jade, and fresh-looking Blood Veins flowed across its surface. From a distance, it looked like a living statue, with those veins carrying its blood!"
