Li Yun narrowed his eyes. He had no intention of directly prying into the Four Directions Guest's secrets. Since they were already here, and this was no dragon's den or tiger's lair, it was merely one hundred taels of gold for a token. What harm was there in trying it out?

At the shopkeeper's signal, two young attendants emerged carrying baskets.
Inside the baskets were Jade Tokens engraved with conspicuous number markings. Li Yun only gave them a distant glance before recognizing that, leaving aside anything else, the tokens were all made from excellent, top-grade fine jade.
More importantly, each Jade Token carried faint Seal fluctuations.
The Seals contained considerable power, yet were perfectly concealed and extremely stable. Unless one's spiritual cultivation had reached the Spirit Transformation Realm, it would likely be difficult to detect them.
Li Yun immediately understood. These Seals were most likely a form of anti-counterfeiting mark.
Their primary purpose was probably to prevent others from forging the Jade Tokens.
As for whether the Four Directions Guest possessed some means of silently detonating the Seal power within the tokens, only the Four Directions Guest themselves would know.

Even if that bit of Seal power erupted, Li Yun would not care.
It was only Seal power equivalent to an ordinary Heavenly Human Realm strike. It posed no threat to him whatsoever. Even if he stood still and let the Jade Token blast him, it would not so much as scratch the surface of his physical body!
