Homelander spoke listlessly. Madelyn thought nothing of it. After a few words to soothe him, she immediately went out to make arrangements.

The Deep immediately volunteered, while Annie asked, "Homelander, is A-Train hiding something from us? These people appeared a little too suddenly, didn't they?"

Homelander whipped his head around and glared viciously at Annie. Startled, she instinctively stepped back. Then Homelander said, "You're new. Don't ask so many questions."

With that, Homelander turned and left. Annie breathed a sigh of relief, her heart racing. She understood more and more why Queen Maeve was so afraid of Homelander. A psychopath who could kill you effortlessly—who wouldn't be afraid?

The Deep sneered. "Newbie, you got lucky this time. You might not be so lucky next time. Remember to respect your seniors. More importantly, don't ask questions you shouldn't."

Annie couldn't be bothered with The Deep and strode out of The Seven's hall. Translucent and Black Noir left as well. Nobody wanted to deal with a clown like The Deep.
