Facing Translucent's complaints, Andrew said indifferently, "It's an experiment. Problems are perfectly normal. Of course, you can refuse. I won't force one of my own."
"I'll do it. As long as I don't die, everything else is negotiable."
Thinking of the act he had put on earlier, Translucent gritted his teeth. Andrew nodded in satisfaction and said, "Don't worry. You won't regret this decision."
"Actually, I'm already starting to regret it."
Translucent complained. Then, he cut off the call and asked The Deep beside him, "The Deep, how are you? You're not going to die, right?"
"Not far from it."
The Deep lay sprawled on the hospital bed and said weakly, "This time, I have to take a proper vacation. Homelander's helper was too brutal. I think he smashed my spine."
"A vacation? You're dreaming. If we don't return to The Seven soon enough, we might get replaced."
Translucent said. The Deep was so frightened he nearly jumped up, only to pull at his wound and grimace in pain. "No way, right? We got hurt for Homelander's sake this time. He wouldn't abandon us, would he?"
"You know what Homelander's like."
Translucent sneered. "Besides, hasn't Homelander already prepared replacements for us in advance?"
"You mean those three?"
The Deep's expression turned utterly ghastly. He didn't want to be kicked out of The Seven. His eyes flickered, and he decided to secretly call Homelander and beg him not to fire him. If someone absolutely had to be fired, then fire Translucent instead.
That was right. The Deep was that kind of shameless bastard. He was utterly loyal to Homelander and believed Homelander would never abandon him.
Naturally, Translucent had no idea what The Deep was thinking. His mind was now filled with the experiment. As for whether he would be kicked
